01

Capture

Approved game footage and tracking data. Helmet video and head motion, where approved.

02

Synchronize

Match clips and movement by time and player. Deliver the same source material to each creator.

03

Create

The creator directs. AI assists asset creation; measured movement drives animation. Edit and render on Surface.

04

Deliver

Review the finished work and hand off an approved film for a scheduled break later in the game.

A timed prototype establishes the local workload, any cloud support, and the delivery window.

THE IDEA, THE POWER & SOURCES

A Super Bowl ad.
Created from within.

The game supplies the material. Creators in the stands turn it into a commercial on Surface Laptop Ultra. The audience sees the play, then sees what it inspires — while the game is still happening.

The power behind the idea

Microsoft’s most powerful Surface laptop ever brings local AI and 3D graphics into a portable creative workspace. This concept puts that power at the heart of the event.

NVIDIA RTX Spark combines Blackwell RTX graphics, an NVIDIA Grace CPU with up to 20 cores, and up to 128 GB of unified memory shared by CPU and GPU. CUDA accelerates AI workloads; local agents can automate routine tasks, with cloud support for larger workloads.

From the play to the film

Explore a collaboration with NFL Films or a dedicated capture crew to follow one play—from the action on the field to the reactions around it. Creators shape that material into a Microsoft commercial on Surface, with the ambition to air it during the same Super Bowl.

Each creator receives footage and movement data from the same play. Their proposed workflow combines AI-assisted asset creation, movement-driven animation, editing and rendering on Surface. One creator could build a cinematic helmet-perspective film. Another could turn a receiver’s route into a sculpture of flowing light.

The creator chooses the story and visual treatment. The game gives the work its character. Surface is where the material becomes the ad.

A studio that can be there

Under 4.5 lb and under 18 mm thin, the device brings this creative setup into the stands. Its 15-inch display supports 100% DCI-P3 color; HDMI, USB and an SD card reader connect the workflow to production equipment.

The live connection

The proposed setup synchronizes approved footage and tracking data by play and player, then distributes it to the creators. NFL tracking provides location, speed and acceleration. Helmet footage and head motion would add an intimate perspective through separately approved cameras and sensors.

The demonstration

Take an unforgettable moment from the Super Bowl. Put it in the hands of creators inside the stadium. Use Surface Laptop Ultra to make the commercial that follows.
